What is Careers in Energy Week?

Careers in Energy Week (CIEW) is an industry-wide initiative that engages the current and future energy industry workforce while also highlighting the important and rewarding work energy professionals do in their communities.

CIEW is held annually in mid to late October, bringing together Michigan’s energy companies and educators who team up to create awareness for students and job seekers about the rewarding careers in the energy sector. Free virtual and in-person options are available across the state.

In 2025, MEWDC hosted three 30-minute virtual career snapshots designed to introduce key areas and insights within the energy industry.
